Susan Isabel Boyd, Managing Partner
Susan was born in the old Grande Ronde Hospital, many years ago. She grew up in Wisconsin, Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania, returning to Dora Hutchinson's farm in Union every summer. Susan's Hutchinson ancestors purchased Dora's farm in 1890. Her grandfather Robert T. Withycombe was the first director of the Agricultural Experiment Station in Union; her great grandfather James Withycombe was a president of Oregon Agricultural College (now Oregon State University) and then a governor of the State of Oregon. Susan's uncle, Robert Withycombe, a farmer/rancher on the Cove/Union Highway, was her mentor. As a child and young adult, Susan was the only member of her generation interested in the family's farming operations.
